The Huahine tiny Partula

Partula arguta

This species was known from a few valleys on Huahine island where it lived in the canopy. The last wild snails were collected in 1991 and bred at London Zoo. Unfortuantely canopy species are hihgly specialised and have never adapted to captivity. The last one died in 1992.
