The Cook Islands Partula

Partula assimilis

This species is found on Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. It is still locally common but has a very patchy distribution due to habitat degradation. Even in the mid 1800s Andrew Garrett reported that large numbers fo shells could be found, suggesting recent declines.
