The golden Partula

Partula aurantia

The golden Partula was a close relative of the seamed Partula, P. suturalis, and the two species hybridised extensively on Moorea island. This was the second Partula to become extinct as a result of predation by the carnivorous Euglandian. The last captive animal died in the 1990s.
