The fat Guam Partula

Partula gibba

This Partula is commonly known as the fat Guam Partula to distinguish it from the other species on Guam. On most of the Marianas island it is the only partulid. It is highly varied in colour and used to be extrmely abundant. Most populations have been lost due to predation by Euglandina and habitat destruction. The most important popualtions remain on Pagan island.
